As seen on Made in Birmingham and in the Halesowen News, we have recently partnered with Halesowen College for the Perry Sculpture Project, a new artistic landmark at our 100,000 sq ft Cradley Heath premises.

The Story

We gave students at Halesowen College the task of designing a representative sculpture of our company, supporting them in achieving their final diploma assignment. We chose Florence's design, which incorporates two hands made from metal products, one higher than the other and linked by threaded bar and chain.

Our History

A Perry is a family owned and run company established in 1925 by Arthur Perry, grandfather and great-grandfather to the current third and fourth-generation family members who own and run the company. Arthur started out by making steel Gutter Brackets and Hinges.

Capturing our Heritage

Florence's design captures our history, heritage and expertise, as it represents vividly the strong link between the history and future of the brand through two linked hands.

Development

The sculpture will be brought to life by local artist Phil Bayliss (right) over the next few months. He’ll be using A Perry’s products including threaded bar, chain and various types of hinges to complete it.

The Artist

Based in the Black Country, local metal artist, Phil Payliss is renowned for his remarkable artwork in steel and fabrications. From life size steel baby elephants to wall hangings and lanterns, his scultpures feature all over the world.

Progress

Phil and Florence have now built the foundations of the sculpture and it's ready for various metal components to be added. They’ll be using A Perry's threaded bar, chain, hinges and other products to complete it.
